My advice is to invest in a site license for a PC X server. Unless you have become comfortable with screen, or don't mind the slow updates of multi-window Emacs in an overexpanded terminal window - or whatever you're using - development via 24x80 windows, all requring new logins each time you want another window, is a miserable existence for the progger. Assuming upgrading those PCs to Linux isn't an option, I would recommend foregoing trying to do development via term progs.
